Project Description
Winter Park City Hall
As part of the winning public-private development team, ACi’s $40M concept design was selected over seven other competing teams. The design consisted of a new two-story structure with a 75,000 GSF city hall, 30,000 GSF galleria retail space, 100 residential units and a new 550-space parking garage.
Nationally, public-private partnerships are a key tool to providing the missing pieces of the development puzzle, allowing cities, counties and even federal agencies to enhance an underutilized piece of property (at almost no cost to the public) into a revenue generating resource through additional property taxes and land leases from private developers.
“One of ACi Architects’ unique abilities is its knowledge of the private sector development process and how creative public collaboration can synergize better real estate development solutions that strengthen each community’s unique history and identity.”
– Chip Weston, Former Director of Economic and Cultural Development, City of Winter Park
