Project Description
UCF Bennett Building
The UCF Business Incubator – Central Florida Research Park Bannett Complex (the former UCF Technology Incubator) was established in 1999 to support emerging high technology companies and help them become financially stable business enterprises. The 48,000 sq. feet incubator offers proximity to the main UCF campus and key technology industry clusters in the area. ACi Architects had the opportunity to do the Renovation and Remodeling of the UCF Research Park Incubator. The renovation was vital to continuing the successful business development program that Tom O’Neil has helped to build and the project became key to the contribution of the University’s commitment to further enhancing the establishment of a scientific community here in the Central Florida region. The facilities include several conference rooms, break rooms, shared office equipment and space suitable for offices, laboratories and early stage manufacturing. The incubator is a partnership between UCF, Orange County and the Florida High Technology Corridor Council.
This 48,000 square foot facility is located on Progress Drive in the Central Florida Research Park and provides flexible space for incubator clients that need larger facilities or that need space suitable for laboratory or production activities. This facility typically houses 10-20 person operations that require 1,000-7,000 square feet of office space.
