Seven Oaks Park – Winter Park, FL

Located at the corner of Denning Drive and Orange Avenue, Seven Oaks Park is a 1.5-acre public green space thoughtfully designed to bring the Winter Park community together. This centrally positioned park serves as both a passive and programmed civic amenity, integrating natural beauty, sustainability, and meaningful public use.

At its core is a striking 200-foot-long pergola along Orange Avenue—a sculptural element that provides shade, defines gathering spaces, and visually anchors the site. Complementing the pergola is a 950-square-foot unconditioned restroom building, powered by rooftop solar panels to reflect the City’s green infrastructure goals.

Seven Oaks offers universally accessible pathways, repaved parking, enhanced lighting, and shaded garden zones—creating an inclusive, walkable environment for visitors of all ages. As part of Winter Park’s broader “Emerald City” initiative, the park contributes to a future network of greenways designed to link major destinations like Mead Botanical Garden, Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, and Central Park through sustainable mobility corridors.

The park also lays the groundwork for future civic engagement. A fully entitled, 40,000-square-foot mixed-use building was designed to accompany the park, including a food hall, brewery/restaurant, co-work studios, and rooftop event space—along with a shared public parking structure. Though not built, its approval showcases the City’s progressive approach to integrating economic development with public spaces.

Seven Oaks Park is a model of how landscape, infrastructure, and community vision can come together to create long-term value for both residents and the urban fabric of Central Florida.
