Maitland City Centre had its grand opening celebration last Friday on the $68 million 3.2-acre new Allen Morris development. ACi Architects enjoys a longstanding relationship with the joint venture development team, working again with The Allen Morris Company, Millenia Partners, and LAMM & Co. ACi’s 22 year relationship with City of Maitland as its consultant for visioning and design standards for downtown Maitland has led to more than $200M of built projects to date. ACi served as the Architect on the Spanish Mission Style $44 million, mixed-use development encompasses a three-acre full city block with a six-story, 220 one- and two-bedroom rental apartments and 24 live/work units, which are one-bedroom units with an office suite. The “live, work, play” environment features a world class European courtyard and progressive South Beach style rooftop amenity deck.

This urban mixed-use development includes approximately 35,000 square feet of highly visible retail space and a 450 space parking garage with on-street parking available as well. The jewel box of this project features an open-air Festival Marketplace facing Maitland’s Central Park, where shoppers and diners can stroll among boutiques, specialty food shops, prepared foods and casual dining. Residents and the surrounding community will enjoy the park and continuous covered pedestrian arcade which runs continuous along Festival Street, Horatio and 17-92. Maitland City Centre is at the center of a growing suburban city less than 10 miles north of Orlando.
