Maitland Police Station
The $5.2 million station is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and intends to pursue Silver certification under the USGBC’s LEED (Leadership in Energy Environmental Design) program. The Maitland Police Station design uses at least 20 percent certified recycled materials along with reduced water consumption, highly efficient heating and air-conditioning systems, reduced light pollution for neighboring residents and the encouragement of fuel-efficient vehicles. The two-story station began construction in January 2009 and is expected to be completed in October 2009.

Ponce de Leon Towers
ACi will design Ponce de Leon Towers, a 575,000, 17-story mixed-use building in the Downtown Coral Gables business community. The Ponce de Leon Towers is pre-registered LEED Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council and will feature insulated glass, recycling rooms onsite and an emphasis on energy and water efficiency. Developed by The Allen Morris Company, the building will become a sister building to the existing Alhambra Towers, also designed by ACi, which received the South Florida NAIOP Outstanding Office Building of the Year and nine other awards. Completion date for Ponce de Leon Towers is set for 2010.
