Stetson University Spec Martin Stadium

The Stetson University Spec Martin Stadium is the home for Stetson University collegiate football program. As part of a six block recreational neighborhood located southeast of Historic City of Deland that includes a baseball stadium, multi ball fields, tennis courts, walking trails, senior citizen center, and City owned stadium facilities.  In order to meet NCAA standards, Stetson University’s Spec Martin Stadium had to upgrade the team locker room facilities, press box, and site improvements.

ACi Architects were faced with a tight budget and opening deadline for their upcoming season. The solution consisted of constructing a new 3-story press box with a rooftop camera deck located in the former press box, renovations and additions to the existing locker rooms.  Additional upgrades to the Spec Martin Stadium include accommodation for 125 home player, 75 visitors, designated locker rooms for home and visiting team coaches, officials, and media conference rooms. The state-of-the-art press box provides 3 indoor VIP suites, press and media accommodations, and coaching staff.
